Song for Adrian for string orchestra

“Song for Adrian” for string orchestra was written in memory of our dear friend and talented conductor, Adrian Tan, who passed away suddenly in July 2021.

In Rondo form, this piece is generally hymn-like and the opening few notes of the motif can be heard throughout the piece. Passion and intensity are injected amidst the calm and the piece ends with a grandiose which celebrates the legacy that Adrian had left for us all.

“Song for Adrian” was premiered by the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Apo HSU on 11th September 2022 at the Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore.
