I play for the trombone studio at the conservatory where I work, and I’ve always enjoyed playing Italian trombonist-composer, Nicola Ferro’s Daybreak and Sunset for trombone and piano. After Midnight was inspired by these two pieces.
After Midnight is a slow and jazzy piece, set in a smoky lounge where everyone is feeling drunk and sleepy. [4’02”]
This piece can also be performed on the bass trombone. The bass trombone part will be sent together with the tenor trombone part.
Note: Please kindly email me at firstname.lastname@example.org should you decide to perform this piece. Thank you.
